Job Description:

Will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the FFAS Sales

and Marketing Management Information System and a large Oracle Data

Warehouse. Will evaluate and provide technical solutions to complex

applications development problems demonstrating knowledge of the business

problem, business systems interactions and software standards and

guidelines.

Primary responsibilities:

• Actively participate in Project Requirements and contribute inputs

to System Design.

• Convert requirements into Technical Design and develop Technical

System Design (TSD).

• Contribute reusable components to MIS Batch Framework.

• Provide development estimations and track them in project plan.

• Assign tasks to developer and follow-up on milestone

• Project Implementation support:

o User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business User Validation

o Verify the Install procedures

o Build Validation in All Production applications

o Execution of database Script into Oracle database

• Manage the group working on the sub-system in terms of work

allocation, tasks tracking, discipline and productivity.

• Attend weekly project status meetings with Project Team

• Identify project risks and devise mitigation plans

• Capture project learning for future references

• Serve as the point of contact for production Issues during business

hours.

• Provide on-call, 24/7 production support

• Mentor junior developers

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer

Science, Engineering, Math, or Physics and four (4) years experience in job

offered or four (4) years experience developing high performing, time

critical software in both a batch and real-time environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

(1) Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing batch and real-time

applications (bulk and individual transaction processing, aggregation, and

denormalization) within an investment management and financial services

environment, according to Waterfall/Agile development methodologies.

(2) DE developing Batch applications using Spring Batch, Java and Maven

against dimensionally and relationally modeled large Oracle database.

(3) DE in project implementation support, including user acceptance testing

and business user validation, verification of install procedures, build

validation, and execution of database script into Oracle database.
