Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the NetBenefits Development team
within Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) Technology Group. The WI
Technology Group designs, develops, implements, and supports WI's suite of
internet products and services. Will be responsible for the creation of
quality web based software components that are used by Fidelity’s retail and
workplace customers. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform requirements gathering and analysis. • Design, develop, and implement systems and applications based
on specifications. • Develop detailed technical system design specifications
and documentation. • Participate in system design reviews and code review
sessions. • Perform technical and functional analysis for multiple
projects. • Ensure best practices in software development methodology
are consistently followed. • Help define application level architecture. • Present technology solutions to business partners. • Support and perform phases of testing leading to
implementation. • Assist in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple
applications supporting several corporate initiatives. • Proactively identify potential problems with applications as
they are developed. • Identify, isolate, and resolve complex application issues. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
in the design and development of Java-based applications; or,
alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and one (1) year of
experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in the design and
development of Java-based applications. Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing, building, testing, and implementing
server- side Java tools and technologies: J2EE, JSP, JSTL, Servlets,
JAXB, JAX-WS, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat; DE developing and building responsive
web applications using client-side tools and technologies: HTML 5,
JavaScript, CSS3, Ajax, JQuery, XML, and JSON; DE developing Spring-based
web applications including implementing design frameworks and
concepts: MVC design patterns, Inversion of Control, and Dependency Injection;
DE developing Java-based web applications including implementing
Open Source Frameworks: Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Core, RESTful
