Job Description:
Duties: Will be a member of Fidelity’s Institutional Technology
Group, with responsibility for custom software project delivery for
web-based, mainframe and enterprise-wide desktop applications. Primary Responsibilities: • Project management of the successful delivery of new
capabilities required for internal National Financial (NF) clients and
Fidelity’s Personal Investments (PI) Managed Account business. • Identify, prioritize, resolve, and communicate problems/opportunities within test and production
environments. • Lead discussions with technology and business partners to
define project schedules, promote issue resolution, and conduct risk
management and provide timely and accurate communication. • Manage deliverables of multiple systems development teams
according to Agile and Waterfall methodologies. • Generate and distribute product status reports and other product/service documentation. • Assess the impact of change management on schedules, budget,
and risk to business. • Manage the financials and resource plans for project
delivery. • Manage vendor and applicable deliverables that are required
to implement the required business capabilities. • Resolve issues by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience and judgment. • Select and act on a course of action which balances business
and individual needs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and five (5) years of
experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience project managing
custom software development projects for building and maintaining
web-based applications, mainframe applications and enterprise-wide
desktop applications within an Information Technology environment;
or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3) years of
experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience project managing
custom software development projects for building and maintaining
web-based applications, mainframe applications and enterprise-wide
desktop applications within an Information Technology environment.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) project managing
information technology development projects with multiple stakeholders and
multiple vendors, including deliverables of multiple systems development
teams according to Agile and Waterfall methodologies; performing
technical and data analysis for status reporting; performing financial
reporting and operations metrics and statistics; and managing resources,
budget, schedule, and risk mitigation; DE creating, enhancing and supporting ‘Unified Managed Accounts’ products, including
managing complex development projects to enhance multiple systems across the
brokerage platform and Managed Accounts platform with multi-tier
architecture including APIs, and Services (Webservices, Rules Engine) within
a heterogeneous database environment using Oracle database, SQL
server and DB2 databases; DE managing the development of applications in
.NET and Java using Spring framework, Business Orchestration Engine (BOE)
Architecture, and Web Services using integrated development environment tools
-- Visual Studio, Eclipse, and SQL Developer; DE managing the development
of applications to support Correspondent Clearing and Custody
services, and development of multi-threaded frontend applications that support
Business process work flow management using BPM for online brokerage
