Job Description:

Duties: Serve as a member of Fidelity Institutional Technology Group.

Responsible for providing end to end engineering, system build out, and

analysis of capacity, design, and flow within a Linux environment. Gather

requirements from developers and project coordinators to set up

infrastructure components in all environments from development to

production.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform log management and automate tasks using IBM Websphere

Application Server, Tomcat Server, and Splunk.

• Automate deployment of applications on Windows IIS, Apache Tomcat,

and IBM Websphere technology stack.

• Build and configure Websphere and Tomcat applications on internal

cloud and virtual and physical servers from scratch using automated scripts.

• Construct environment build up scripts based on the first

environment set up and document scripts to be used by operations team to

build higher environments.

• Develop new SSL certificates for the applications.

• Provide Level 3 support and triage escalations from operations team.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Business Administration (Information Systems), Mathematics, Physics or a

closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered

or three (3) years of experience in systems engineering within a Linux

environment, including infrastructure automation and integration,

administration, and systems development; or, alternatively, a Master’s

degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering,

Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration

(Information Systems), Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and

one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience

in systems engineering within a Linux environment, including infrastructure

automation and integration, administration, and systems development.

Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in DevOps

engineering, automation, and enterprise level platform automation using IBM

BuildForge or uDeploy; and automation of administration functions using

Shell, DOS/PowerShell, Python, and wsadmin; DE in release engineering,

configuration management, systems integration, and performance optimization

of infrastructure components using Continuous Integration tools -- IBM

BuildForge, Maven, Nexus, and CA Wily; DE in operating system management on

UNIX/Linux and Windows Server (2008/2012) platforms; DE in IBM WebSphere

Application Server (7.x/8.x) installation, configuration, troubleshooting,

and automation.
