The Financial Analyst 2 primarily supports the reporting, analysis
and communication of actual financial performance and forecast
outlook for CTO Lottery & Italy Technology and Global
Infrastructure. In this role, the selected candidate will be
responsible for providing a wide scope of financial information and
insights to technology management and lottery/corporate financial
planning. The expectation is to provide the Global Lottery business
leadership with the required financial and operational metrics to
drive tactical and strategic decisions and highlighting potential
opportunities to identify areas where cost improvements can be
realized. Performing business planning, monthly forecasting,
strategic analysis, reporting & month end activities. Works with
and educates operations managers in financial management. Develops
budgets and forecasts for cost centers including headcount,
operating expenses, and capital expenditure details. Maintains and
monitors Technology Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Assists
with the monthly close process.
Provide the financial skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to
analyze and communicate the financial performance of the Global
Infrastructure and CTO Lottery & Italy Technology groups,
including, but not limited to:
--- Support annual 5 year plan preparation, forecast input,
presentations, variance commentaries, and cost analyses.
--- Prepares journal entries and performs finance responsibilities
as necessary supporting the accounting function and/or accounting
--- Monthly maintenance, analysis and communication of actual KPI
and financial performance data vs. prior year, prior quarter,
budget and current forecast.
--- Design, build and automate standard variance and summary
reporting capabilities in BPC to support presentations for
technology leadership and Operational Reviews with CTO and CFO.
--- Participate in the calculation of the annual standard labor
rates calculation and monthly absorption analysis.
--- Provide value-added analysis and interpretation of cost trends,
capex, and departmental spend & Headcount.
--- Analyze data to arrive at relevant trends that can be presented
to Senior leadership to improve operating practices.
--- Serve as Finance Lead on client deliveries, costing and R&D
--- Participation in cost estimations and investment analysis of
contract offerings primarily to support new business
--- Provide financial support as required updates of contract vs.
negotiated pricing models during gap analysis.
--- Ad hoc reporting requests to support technology portfolio to
analyze data for various cost savings initiatives.
--- Provide financial support on project approval process, variance
report and research against budget/forecasts.
--- Works with product management and marketing organizations to
understand market dynamics that could impact forecast assumptions
of R&D projects.
--- Augment other teams in Lottery Technology with ad hoc or

--- 2-4 years or more of job-related experience.
--- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
--- MBA/CPA or other finance related certification a plus.
--- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability to manipulate
data extracts using Excel vlookup, pivot, sumif etc.
--- Proficiency in PowerPoint.
--- Motivated self-starter with capacity to manage multiple
