Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: Provide billing/invoicing & administrative support to the Lowers Forensics International team

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following (other duties may be assigned):

---Responsible for all billing and invoice processes for the firm, this includes manual invoices to clients, electronic invoicing on all firm billing platforms.

---Provide billing support including the preparation of invoices and attachments, WIP and A/R management, and related file reporting.

---Responsible for review of all outgoing bills; knowledge of billing rates, reporting, WIP, schedules, formats, budgets is needed.

---Work with Management/Executive team to review draft invoices and time & expenses incurred

---Ensure that all bills are checked for numerical accuracy and internal consistency before they are processed.

---Ensure the accurate processing of all write offs of unbillable time and disbursements, and that all such requests are properly authorized in accordance with the firm's authorization limits as they might apply from time to time.

---Manage and execute all time and expense entry.

---Assist in the reconciliation and auditing of accounts receivables and collection efforts. Ensure that invoices are properly processed and paid timely.

---Work on various projects with Senior Executive Administrator, Executive Team & other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education:

Minimum : Associates degree

Preferred : Bachelors degree

Experience:

Minimum : 2 - 3 years experience as an Billing Specialist and/or Administrator

Preferred : 3+ years experience as an Billing Specialist and/or Administrator

Preferred : CORE BQE Experience, Legal X/Bottomline Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position:

---Minimum of three (3) years of operational and billing support experience; prior experience in a professional services organization preferred

---Proficiency with MS Office programs, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. Intermediate Excel skills required (Advanced, preferred)

---Strong organizational and communications abilities are critical to success in this position, as team members are expected to manage multiple priorities and work with a moderate amount of supervision

---Proficient typing skills

---Responsive & organized; Able to set expectations for leadership & team members

---Ability to multi-task; Ability to manage multiple projects at once to completion

---Work well under pressure

---Work within tight deadlines

---Detail-oriented; Exceptional attention to detail

---Excels in a team environment.

---Requires professionalism, excellent telephone and face to face interpersonal skills, and excellent writing and editing skills.

---Requires follow-through, time-management and project management skills.

WORK HOURS:

This is a Part-Time role with a weekly schedule of 20-25 hours per week. Work hours are typically 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

---Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

---Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which individual must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other team members accurately or quickly.

---Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

---Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

---Close visual acuity. For preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection.

---Sedentary work. Must be able to sit for an extended period covering the duration of work shift hours.
