Primary Function:Reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategic Financial Planning - The Senior Financial Analyst supports the annual budget process, rolling forecast process and monthly financial reviews by producing reports and templates as needed with the use of the Syntellis Budgeting and Strata Forecasting System. Responsible for optimal utilization of the budgeting/Forecasting system and is the point of contact for system-related queries and requests. Acts as a system training resource for internal clients.Specifications:BA/BS required; minimum of three years of experience with budgeting and general ledger accounting, GAAP. Minimum of three years of experience in accounting and finance.Strong knowledge of accounting required combined with exceptional analytical ability and financial modeling experience.Knowledge of Syntellis or similar general ledger accounting systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in english.Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment, with keen attention to detail,Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities, take initiative and meet deadlines.Must have excellent computer skills including in-depth understanding of databases and spreadsheet formulas and macros.Report specification writing experience is helpful.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for preparing the budgeting/forecasting system for annual budget process and rolling forecast process.Prepare standardized templates and work with business owners to complete budgets and projections, ensuring key assumptions and supporting artifacts are documented.Supports the stakeholders by resolving issues related to their use of the Syntellis and Strata System as well as other budgeting/forecasting issues that arise.Conduct annual workshops for budget owners and accounting staff to review the use of the Syntellis Budgeting System and enhancements as well as other updates in its use for budget preparation.Prepare detailed and meaningful variance analysis as compared to prior periods, budget, and or forecast.Provide thorough and accurate monthly analysis of CNE Corp financial performance. Review activity to ensure correct coding and categorization.Create, update and refresh the forecast models in Strata.Maintain the data feeds as needed.Draw on relationship and technical skills to act as technical liaison to internal and external clients.Troubleshoot and resolve application related problems by phone and in person; provide day-to-day support handling simple to complex user problems/requests regarding software and reporting.Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.Contribute to the ongoing development of financial reporting systems. Become proficient in those systems and propose changes to continue improving reporting.Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts.Responsible for providing, maintaining and updating system (Syntellis and Strata) access for stakeholders.Ad hoc projects, as requested
