Randstad US PR Specialist
**JOB SUMMARY:**
The PR specialist will support PR and campaign execution support to
the external communications team. This individual will be involved
in developing content and campaigns driving brand relevance and
promoting thought leadership for Randstad US and its family of
brands. Examples of day-to-day tasks include media relations,
writing content (including press releases, articles, media alerts,
intranet copy, etc.), building relationships with journalists and
influencers, collaborative brainstorming for campaign development,
monitoring industry trends, conducting and analyzing research and
assisting with special projects that are considered as high value
to the business. While not a social media role, this individual
must have proven ability using social media sites and also be able
to engage with many different functions and people within the
company, including marketing, sales, the executive team, and
more.
Must manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with a sense
of urgency and be able to navigate within a complex organization.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
(in a hybrid work environment). Looking for a high-energy team
player that is self-motivated and driven.
**Main Responsibilities.**
Public Relations
+ Collaborate with the team to develop campaign topic ideas and
media angles
+ Write, edit and proofread content such as news releases, blogs,
articles, pitches, briefing books, etc. to ensure accuracy, quality
and consistency
+ Prepare talking points and briefing materials for executives in
advance of interviews as needed
+ Field incoming media requests and build relationships with key
media members (trades)
+ Research relevant media contacts and identify pitching
opportunities to secure print and online coverage
+ Develop a quarterly proactive outreach strategy to industry trade
publications to secure media coverage for Randstad's line of
businesses (LOB)
+ Conduct and compile research for PR, content and social media
teams
+ Update online collateral for the communications team
+ Develop content briefs and byline articles across LOBs
Social Media
+ Develop executive social strategy, track and measure performance
via metrics/trending data, etc.
+ Develop social posts to promote earned media coverage
+ Work closely with social team to integrate campaigns
+ Stay abreast of current trends in social media and integrate with
external communications goals
Support
+ Continually seek to innovate and introduce breakthrough ideas,
approaches and solutions with communications
+ Support timely PR, corporate communication or marketing campaigns
as they arise
+ Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with a sense of
urgency and to navigate within a complex organization
+ Support internal requests and manage expectations with
deliverables
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations
or a related field
+ A minimum of 3-5 years experience in communications, public
relations and/or social media
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
+ Content writing experience for all media platforms
+ Proven social media expertise (including measurement)
+ Strategic and creative mindset
+ Takes ownership and exhibits strong initiative
+ Ability to discern when and how to seek feedback and approval day
to day
+ Inquisitive/curious
+ Meticulous attention to detail
+ Experience with Cision and CMS platforms preferred
+ Familiarity with Airtable
