DetailsA leading advertising, digital marketing and public
relations agency headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island is
looking for a media planner/buyer to join the team.The media
planner/buyer will inform media strategy and lead day-to-day
execution across digital and traditional channels. The media
planner/buyer will manage day-to-day relationships with both
clients and external partners and will ensure accurate
record-keeping on all accounts. The media planner/buyer will
possess a solid knowledge of the client s business and actively
bring new ideas and recommendations to the team for the client s
campaigns.This position requires that the candidate be a
self-starter, extremely organized, detail-oriented and highly
motivated. The successful candidate will also possess the ability
to effectively juggle multiple priorities while managing client
expectations, timelines and coordination between various
resources.Overarching
- Actively contribute ideas and original thinking to all client
media programs
- Meet with media partners to stay abreast of the latest
offerings and technologies
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging channels and
media technologies to inform internal partners and client
teamsStrategy and Planning
- Fulfill media research and analysis utilizing internal planning
tools
- Develop RFPs that lead partners in devising innovative
approaches to meeting campaign objectives and delivering value
- Partner with our analytics team to predict performance and
inform key decisions about the necessary media mix
- Oversee the creation, production and presentation of the media
strategy and media plan to the clientBuying and Media Management
- Work with cross-functional departments to ensure flawless
execution of all media campaigns to deliver on client
objectives
- Develop IOs, specs, buy authorizations, flowcharts, and
financial tracking documents
- Ensure accurate recording keeping of campaign buys and project
status. Effectively negotiate rates, placements, and added value
with media partners
- Oversee and manage campaign maintenance, optimization, and
reporting, including front-end analytics and site side
analyticsREQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in an agency or
in-house media department
- Previous success in the planning, development and management of
media campaigns for brands or products
- Ability to analyze data and a deep understanding of measurement
practices, 3rd party measurement companies and web analytics
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling
multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven client service orientation with strong written and
verbal communication skills, including effective presentation
skills
- Ability to consistently perform under pressure in a fast-paced
environment as an individual on a team
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated interest in keeping up with emerging technologies
and digital marketing trends
- Experience with tools such as: STRATA/FreeWheel - currently
transitioning to Advantage, MRI, Scarborough, Nielsen, Kantar,
Microsoft Office, Google AdWords, 3rd party ad serving, HubSpot,
