Job Description:
Duties: Provides technical oversight on complex projects and initiatives. Leads a team that monitors non-production
environments and cycle management of end-to-end (Web to mainframe) environments
exceeding 7000 mips (mf), 40,000 batch jobs, and 500 distributed systems.
Drives metrics and reporting processes to facilitate informed support
and operational decisions. Establishes and oversees Incident,
Change, and Problem Management policies. Primary Responsibilities: • Leads strategic discussions with business and development partners to develop solutions that address stability and
maintainability of complex and cross-business systems, applications, and
infrastructure. • Serves as a crisis manager for environment incidents. • Defines communication plan to the business and clients. • Participates in architectural code/systems reviews to
ensure operational effectiveness. • Ensures quality and performance of deliverables. • Collaborates with business partners in the definition of disaster recovery and contingency planning strategies. • Works with business and development partners to define the operational support model for applications, systems, and
infrastructure to ensure maintainability, reliability, and cost of ownership
during the development and implementation phases. • Develops, maintains, and enforces acceptance criteria and procedures for the implementation of new SM infrastructure into
the operational environment. • Identifies gaps and opportunities on operational performance
and provides recommendations to senior management. • Leads complex projects or initiatives related to new
technology onboarding, continuous improvements, or compliance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Business Administration, or a
closely related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or
five (5) years of experience in technical coordination throughout the
project life cycle of mainframe and distributed infrastructure code
migration projects; Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign
education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Business
Administration, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in job
offered or three (3) years of experience in technical coordination
throughout the project life cycle of mainframe and distributed
infrastructure code migration projects. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated
Expertise (“DE”) providing system services support within a mainframe
non- production environment and non-production OLTP portal
environment using Service Now for incident management, service desk management,
change management, and problem management; DE performing systems
configuration, implementation, job scheduling, and cycle management of an
environment exceeding 7,000 mips (mf), 40,000 jobs, and 500 distributed
systems supported 24x7 across a global platform; DE writing JIRA and
Business Objects queries for non-production support incident reporting;
and writing SQL queries to extract data to generate trend reports
for incident management and production code readiness; DE monitoring
file flow between Bloomberg PolarLake and mainframe environment,
using WinSCP, Putty, and Oracle SQL, including configuration,
implementation, job scheduling, cycle management, and triage support for
end-to-end (Web to mainframe) using DB2, Platinum detector (for performance
monitoring), SysView (for online CICS monitoring), SDSF (for batch jobs),
File Aid (for file editing), and Control-M (for configuration,
