Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Hospital Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in providing high-quality care and safe facility conditions for both patients and staff. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the hospital's physical plant and mechanical systems. With a proactive, safety-first approach, you will ensure all systems operate efficiently within our healthcare environment. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute directly to our mission of providing an integrated healthcare experience in our state-of-the-art facilities across 42 states. Perform routine maintenance and repair on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to detect malfunctions. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for major repairs and compliance issues. Maintain documentation of maintenance procedures and repairs for compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure adherence to safety codes and regulations. Participate in emergency on-call rotations for urgent maintenance needs. Collaborate with facility management to implement upgrades and enhancements. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery and equipment. Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes specific to healthcare facilities. Proficiency in using tools and maintenance equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification in HVAC or Electrical Maintenance is highly desirable. Any state-specific certifications required for handling healthcare facility maintenance.
