Responsibilities:The IoT/Digital Assessment specialist will be responsible for aggressively driving new technologies and solutions towards implementation in our operations for assessing risk and enabling risk improvement at our client locations. These technologies can consist of internet-of-things (IoT) and other digital technologies. Examples include remote aerial sensing, computer vision, robotics, data processing, risk visualization, etc.-In collaboration with internal and external partners, this role will develop and implement technology-orientated and data-orientated solutions for benefiting both the field engineering and the client. This role must understand fundamentals of loss prevention as detailed in FM Global's Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets.-This position is responsible for possessing and maintaining a broad and in-depth understanding of advanced, state-of-the-art technologies in the space of remote sensing, optics, computer vision/pattern recognition, applied machine learning, electromechanical systems (i.e., robotics), software QA, data acquisition/extraction, signal processing, programming (python scripts, APIs, etc.), project management, and field-engineering/business acumen. This role is also responsible for ensuring that this knowledge is translated into engineering solutions.-This role will also explore new technologies and perform/manage proof-of-concept studies to demonstrate feasibility and value-added in areas where field engineering can be benefited. Qualifications:

• Graduate degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in Research, Engineering, or equivalent
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities/experience
• Creativity, vision, and initiative to the ensure that efforts are not unnecessarily constrained by existing processes.
• Constructively take care of problems that don't have clear solutions or outcomes.
• Outstanding project management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in various subject areas.
