About Our Client:Our Client specializes in the development, manufacturing and customization of precision measurement devices, automated liquid handling workstations, and sample management systems.
Scope of JobOur Client is seeking a bright, motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our R&D team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting all product lines by ensuring themanufacturing processes meets or exceeds quality levels and pursue continuous processimprovement activities aimed at reducing or eliminating waste. Work multi-functionally with Quality and Engineering to continuously improve manufactured products and processes.Products range from fully automated storage equipment for the Biomedical industry to handheldinstruments. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a team environment, be self-motivated, organized, business and quality driven.
Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport of all new product introductions.Troubleshoot, identify root cause, resolve and generate corrective actions for all mechanicaland electrical issues that have been identified during the manufacturing process of eachproduct line. Lead and implement fixes, modifications and design enhancements in manufacturing.Perform routine updates and corrections to engineering documents (drawings, BOMs,material specification sheets, procedures, etc..)Responsible for all Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in manufacturing.Generate meticulously detailed and thorough documentation. This includes productionprocedures, test protocols and inspection criteria.Generate and maintain block diagrams and schematics for all systems. Specify and selectcommercially available, "off the shelf, electronics, subsystems, hardware, etcDesign and implement test setups for component (e.g. motors, power supplies,subassemblies, etc..) and identify qualifications as needed.
Qualifications2+ years' of manufacturing experience with computer controlled capital equipment.Completed a minimum of one product life cycle (from concept to production) as acontributor.Product Engineering and/ or Sustaining Engineering experience.Experience working on electro-mechanical assemblies, cable harnesses, electrical panels isa plus.Solid modeling software skills; SolidWorks is a must, Creo is a plus.Strong troubleshooting skills on electro-mechanical assemblies.Must have the ability to manage and meet scheduled commitments and project timelines.Strong communicator both verbally and written.Ability to interact professionally with customers, sales, marketing, development,manufacturing technician and suppliers.Setup floor layout for new products or reconfiguring existing layouts to improvemanufacturability of a specific product line.
Skills considered a plus :Experience with SolidWorks Electrical to generate schematics and wiring diagrams.Familiarity with LabView or other object-oriented software.
Education & CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or comparableMinimum of 2 years of experience in relevant field.
