Job Description:
At CHEP, a pioneer in providing eco-friendly supply chain
solutions, we are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join
our Technical & Maintenance team. This role focuses on ensuring
optimal functioning of our automated systems used in the management
and transportation of our signature pallets and containers. Based
in our state-of-the-art facilities, the Automation Technician will
maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our automation equipment,
contributing directly to our sustainability goals and operational
efficiency. Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems,
monitoring for issues and identifying solutions. Maintain,
troubleshoot, and repair automation machinery and equipment
including robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Upgrade the automation systems as necessary to improve efficiency
and reliability. Collaborate with the automation engineering team
to enhance system design and implementation. Ensure compliance with
safety, quality, and industry regulatory standards. Document
technical procedures and user manuals for database management and
equipment operation. Strong proficiency with robotics, PLCs, and
other automation technologies. Experience with troubleshooting and
repairing electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read and
interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong
communication and teamwork abilities. Medical Insurance Dental

(desired). Integrated Systems Technology Certification (a
plus).
