Job DescriptionReporting / Documents

  • The APM is responsible for the creation and distribution of weekly reports as may be contractually required for the projects they are working on. These reports include Meeting Minutes, Flash Reports and Task Lists. The Project Manager and/or Project Executive must review all weekly reports prior to distribution. Draft copies of the Task List and Flash Report must be completed by Friday of each week. Meeting minutes must be completed within 24 hours of the meeting.
  • The APM will assist in the development and assembly of procurement documents such as RFPs, RFQs, Contracts and exhibits.
  • The APM is responsible for assembling (electronically) all information for the monthly report and working/coordinating with the appropriate administrative personnel, as available, for assembly and distribution. The APM will ensure that the proper distribution addresses and contact information is provided and updated.
  • The APM will initiate and maintain the project directory. The project directory is a comprehensive collection of vital contact information for all project team members.
  • The APM is responsible for photo documentation of project progress.


    • The APM is responsible for maintain the electronic files for the projects they work on. This includes the maintenance of the drop box or other file sharing site established for the project.
    • APMs are responsible for filing electronic and hard copies of all email correspondence they are included in during the course of a project. Emails and attachments must be filed no less than once a week.
    • APMs will provide support to the Project Managers in the development and maintenance of a Project Schedule.
    • APMs will provide support as required by the PM/SPM.

      General Responsibilities

      • Perform tasks assigned by project and company management, such tasks to be assigned based on demonstrated competencies and successes.
      • Project management involves working with a diverse group of people who often have conflicting interests. APMs will be responsible for developing strong working relationships with peers from other firms.
      • APMs are responsible for their transportation to and from project sites, County, consultant and client offices and other places necessary during the course of a project. APMs are expected to be on time for every meeting they attend on behalf of Orr Partners.
      • Senior Orr Partners personnel are available as a resource to all staff members, but particularly to APMs. APMs must take advantage of the knowledge and experience of the senior staff by asking questions and soliciting feedback. APMs are also expected to show initiative in their professional growth by spending time in the field and garnering information from other project team members.
      • All Orr staff shall conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and shall maintain a neat and professional appearance.
      • Attend one industry event each month.
      • Have lunch with a client, peer or industry partner at least twice a month.
      • Promote the services and capabilities of Orr Partners.

        The Successful Applicant

        • 2+ years of construction experience required.
        • Degree in an AEC field is preferred but not required.
        • Strong communications skills
        • Ability to network and perform Business Development along side management.
        • Understanding of all construction practices
        • Willingness to grow up the project management ranks
        • Team collaboration abilities
