Job Description:The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Innovative leader with a passion for FinTech, a deep understanding of the wealth management industry and broader landscape of new entrants
  • Experience working with large wealth management firms (with a focus on broker dealers, large RIAs/MFOs), and banks, passionate about technology strategy and empowerment
  • Accomplished in developing technology strategy, crafting solutions and implementing and leading change
  • 10+ years wealth management, FinTech or related experience
  • BS/BA degree required
  • Series 7 & 63 required (pass within 90 days)The Purpose of Your Role The Vice President, Technology Consultant leads engagements with large wealth management firms that are looking to develop and implement a technology strategy to drive business results. You must be proficient in understanding the trends, opportunities and challenges facing these firms, as well as the impact and opportunities these create. You will work with C-Level firm executives to effectively design their technology ecosystem, inclusive of Fidelity and 3rd party technologies. You should be passionate in technology concepts including (but not limited to) cloud, integration capabilities (APIs, transmissions, etc.), workflow optimization, and UX/UI. You will be a relied upon subject matter authority for Fidelity Institutional prospects, clients, Sales and Relationship Management associates, as well as other internal and external business partners. You will engage with clients and prospects to ensure the awareness and adoption of relevant technology solutions that help them achieve their business growth, efficiency and client satisfaction goals. You will be instrumental in both communicating the FI Product and Advisory Solutions vision and roadmap, as well as driving feedback from clients, prospects, competition and the broader industry to the broader Fidelity Institutional domains and strategy groups.       • Engage with firms (both clients and prospects), gaining insight into opportunities and challenges, developing and delivering strategies to grow, scale and improve client relationships for that firm
      • Provide insights, best practices and thought leadership to clients and prospects
      • Collaborating with FI leadership and field associates (Sales and Relationship Management), uncovering prospect and client opportunities to engage, driving assets, revenue and deepening relationships
      • Understand Fidelity and 3rd party solutions for firms, while having deep insight into selection, implementation, configuration and optimization
      • Represent Fidelity at client & industry conferences delivering the platform value proposition in the form of one-on-one conversations and speaking engagementsPlatform Strategy & Development
        • Contribute to the development of the strategic platform roadmap by providing key inputs based on observations in the areas of competition, prospect/client needs, and market evolution
        • Play a key role in helping regional field associates understand the platform roadmap and strategies to execute against client and prospect opportunitiesCommunication Strategy
          • Work with the leadership across FI client and sales to develop and implement the communication, adoption and education strategy for FI solutions, with a keen focus on the applicability to firm needs and goals
