Position SummaryThe Senior Director, Cyber Defense oversees the proactive identification and mitigation of cyber threats. This leader works collaboratively across the company and with key stakeholders to effectively manage risk by proactively interpreting cyber threats, identifying threat mitigations and implementing threat detections using advanced technologies. This leader oversees threat intelligence, threat analysis, digital forensics, incident response, and recovery management. This leader sets the strategy for cyber defense improvements and capabilities through the identification and implementation of advanced technologies to enable better cyber threat detection and automated response. By working with key technology leaders, this leader ensures the delivery of cyber defense operations capabilities as the business adopts and implements new emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence/machine learning). As the primary individual responsible for leading all cyber incident response activities, they possess in depth technical knowledge across a wide spectrum of security capabilities. This leader demonstrates critical thinking and business acumen to lead the company through a significant cyber incident by protecting critical systems, minimizing business disruption, and expediting system recovery. This individual has experience previously working in critical infrastructure company and/or with government agencies on a wide array of cyber defense matters. This individual also possesses the gravitas necessary to represent our cyber defense program to our top enterprise and public sector customers and various government agencies. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, lead by example and have sound business judgement and problem-solving expertise. The leader must possess the ability to collaborate and influence outcomes across a complex and diverse organization. The leader is a builder of talent who can empower and motivate teams.Required Qualifications- Experience running a security operations function in a critical infrastructure industrysuch as Finance, Defense, Healthcare, Energy)- Detailed and extensive knowledge of security operations principles and technologies- Experience with applying advanced technologies to improve cyber threat detection and response.- Maintains a broad understanding of federal and state laws relating to information security and privacy, security policies, industry best practices, exposures, and their application to the IT environment for the purposes of performing incident response and forensic investigation.- Maintains and fosters relationships with executive management for continuing sponsorship of resources to enforce short and long-range cyber defense program goals.- Astute leader who designs collaborative decision-making processes that deliver results and exceed expectations.- Ability to manage a high degree of complexity and distill information to translate and provide clear direction to teams- Able to build trusted and transparent partnerships between technology, business and vendors,- Experience working a wide array of cyber security matters with external customers, public sector agencies and non-governmental organizations.- Develops, maintains, and administers the associated budget required to fulfill these program requirements.COVID RequirementsCVS Health requires its Colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated.If you are vaccinated, you are required to have received at least one COVID-19 shot prior to your first day of employment and to provide proof of your vaccination status within the first 10 days of your employment.
