Barrett Distribution Centers is seeking a Recruitment Manager to join our Human Resources department.

As a trusted advisor to our customers since 1941, Barrett Distribution Centers provide customized third-party logistics, omni-channel distribution, and direct-to-consumer fulfillment services for clients in the apparel & footwear, health & beauty, big box and e-commerce retail, consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, food, candy, grocery, and automotive parts industries.

SUMMARY:

The Recruitment Manager, reporting to the Director of HR, is responsible for leading the recruitment team, designing hiring strategies and developing ways to improve efficiency in the hiring process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement effective recruitment practice, policy, and procedures for the support and development of high performing teams.
Drive and direct all recruitment efforts and processes.
Coordinating with management for forecasting the future staffing needs
Advise and train Hiring Managers on effective interviewing techniques
Recommend ways for improving the employer brand of our company
Research and select suitable options for job advertising
Provide leadership and oversight of the recruitment team; develop and communicate clear goals and expectations for assigned staff; provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Conduct job interviews to ensure candidates skills and qualification match the job requirements
Participating in career events and job fairs for the purpose of networking with potential candidates
Process and track applicant job submissions
Manage recruitment databases and advertising budgets
Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the assigned business area and its financials, plans, and culture.
Building the professional network of the company by maintaining strategic relationships with partners, colleges and HR professionals
Actively leads meetings and effectively communicates department goals and company-wide information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to travel as needed

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, industrial relations, business administration or related field. May substitute 8+ years of directly related experience in lieu of degrees.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five (5) years' experience of professional recruiting experience. Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of management experience preferred.
Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with Human Capital Management/Applicant tracking systems preferred.
Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in a typical business office environment requiring walking, sitting and standing. Prolong periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and using a phone.
Additional work setting may be in a warehouse environment in which temperature can vary from extreme heat to extreme cold in the elements of rain and snow and noise level is usually moderate to loud.
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long lengths of time; walk the length and width of the warehouse; and stoop, kneel, crouch as needed.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust and focus.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs independently within Barrett's administrative policies and procedures as it pertains to issues of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises up to 4 full-time equivalent employees directly.
