-Providence, RI - HopeHealth , the second oldest hospice in America and a major teaching affiliate of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, seeks an accomplished, inclusive and enthusiastic human resources leader to oversee a comprehensive program and a high performing team serving a $100 million, multi-state, multi-site operation. Reporting to the President and CEO as a contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will develop and execute workforce strategies ensuring HopeHealth's ability to meet the needs of patients and families and strengthen its reputation as an employer of choice. Nationally recognized for the quality of its clinical programs and one of the area's most esteemed healthcare organizations, HopeHealth, with more than 700 employees, cares for thousands of patients and their families in Rhode Island and Massachusetts annually. It operates Rhode Island's only freestanding inpatient hospice, while providing hospice and palliative care at home, in hospitals, and in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities throughout the region. HopeHealth also offers robust home health programs to help those managing illnesses or recovering from injuries and has an expansive array of grief support programs, including Camp Braveheart, which provides comfort and peace to children coping with grief.Position Summary: The CHRO leads a growing and dynamic human resources team and a best-in-class, comprehensive program encompassing organizational development, HR operations and information systems, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and retention, employee and labor relations, while promoting an organizational culture that fosters employee engagement and embraces diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. In this highly visible role, the CHRO will develop and implement HR policies, practices and programs that align with HopeHealth's strategic goals and values, and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment processes, employee health and safety, and employee relations.Qualifications: The ideal candidate is both a strategist and tactician with a demonstrated record of success in human resources management, organizational development, change management, and data-driven planning and decision-making. With strong organizational and communications skills, this individual leads with a finely-tuned moral compass, self-confidence, humility and sensitivity in an environment that supports patients and their families at end of life. A track record of being a champion for diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace is key to this position. Requirements: BS/BA, advanced degree preferred; 10+ years of progressive HR management experience; knowledge of federal and state (Massachusetts and Rhode Island) employment and labor laws, and collective bargaining; healthcare experience preferred; SHRM certification a plus.
