Practice Manager) Employee - Full Time Leadership-Director
Olneyville, Providence, RI, USAs PCHC readies to open our 9th
Health Center, this is a great opportunity to join PCHC as leader
of our Olneyville Health Center, one of our original Health
Centers! You will report directly to the AVP, Site Operations, and
be responsible for the delivery and oversight of all patient care
services within the the scope of their health clinic(s) and/or
specialty services, maintaining broad responsibilities for all
medical and non-medical administrative functions and overseeing all
aspects of practice operations including financial performance.
Work collaboratively with leadership to develop budget and
adherence to budget management. Support implementation of new
programs and services through resource planning and allocation.
Ensure clinic compliance with regulatory standards. PCHC has been

/ Licensure / Experience: Bachelor's degree required.Active RN
license with nursing experience preferred, but not
required.Master's degree in management or health related field
preferred.Minimum of four years hospital, medical clinic or
community health experience plus a minimum of two years supervisory
experience required.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee
clinical operations with respect to appointment scheduling, patient
flow, and medical records. Responsible for maintaining efficiency
through provider scheduling; managing urgent care, and identifying
gaps in services.Strengthen triage program for all medical
specialties by identifying needs for trainingMaximize use of
available staffing resources. Arrange for staff coverage where
needed. Work closely with AVP to analyze the delivery of patient
care services and to identify strategies to fill identified
gaps.Coordinates staff training, orientation of new staff and
retraining to further the professional development of the staff and
improvement of patient care delivery.Supervise nurses, health
center assistants, aides, counselors, medical records staff,
security, housekeeping front desk staff, including discipline and
grievance resolution, performance evaluations, competency reviews
as well as on going reviews. Serve as liaison for HMOs, incorporate
programs and services offered by HMOs into our system of patient
care, keep current on membership's financial incentives and cost
saving strategies.Maintain a professional working environment and
conduct monthly center staff meetings. Provide the structure and
role development to foster the delivery of quality patient
care.Interview and recommend for hiring all nursing and
paraprofessional clinical and health center staff.Coordinate and
supervise clinical students, AmeriCorps members and volunteer
placements.Attend required meetings and participate in committees
involving delivery of care as required/requested.Serve as
neighborhood liaison.Develop procedures and protocols under the
guidance of the AVP to enhance patient education and patient
adherence to recommendations.Participate in professional activities
and maintain professional affiliations to keep self and staff
abreast of professional, medical and technological
trends/changes.Implement Quality Improvement and Risk Management
activities, specific to the ambulatory parameters of patient
satisfaction, accessibility, continuity of care and appropriateness
of service.Provide input to the AVP regarding long term planning
and promotion of PCHC mission of providing quality medical
care.Work collaboratively with the Providence School Department, RI
Department of Health as needed.Maintain high standards of care
while cultivating clinical empowerment as well as supporting and
facilitating an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of
care.Provides leadership and direction for the development of
strategies to promote retention and recognition of nursing
excellence that is consistent with PCHC's mission, vision and
values.Provide guidance for the practice of nursing throughout the
organization by ensuring consistency in the standards of practice
through collaboration with AHCD, Medical Director and Chief Medical
Officer.Assist the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director with
policy and procedure updates as it pertains to clinical
practice.Support the implementation of policy and workflow
change.Assists in maintaining quality initiatives and high
standards of care.Oversee the implementation of clinical
procedures.Essential Skills / Qualifications: Ability to work
collaboratively and productively with professional and clinical
staff requiredDemonstrated "hands on" leadership, management
ability and supervisory skills.Skills in motivating individuals and
developing group cohesiveness.Demonstrated ability to deliver and
execute decisionsDemonstrated problem solving ability including
skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizingExperience in
managed care coordination of services.Commitment to working in
community health with the challenges of a high risk and often
uninsured and diverse patient population required.Computer literacy
(Microsoft Word and E-mail) required.Experience setting direction
for department and managing staff performance Planning,
organization, and implementation skills- experience managing
multiple concurrent priorities.Bilingual (Spanish) skills and
