Job Description: The RoleThe Senior Manager, Institutional
Product Analyst will report to an asset class lead within the Core
Institutional Analysis Group (Core IAG). The Senior Manager will
partner with relationship management and investment teams (among
others) in supporting Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS) in
its sales and client retention efforts in the institutional
channel. The individual will become a trusted resource for business
partners and serve as a subject matter expert in assigned asset
classes, which may include equity, investment grade fixed income,
high income, and asset allocation. The Senior Manager will
contribute institutional product and asset class content and
analysis to marketing collateral, prospecting materials, client
reporting, RFP and due-diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and ad hoc
reporting. The Expertise & Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree (major in Finance, Economics, or Business
preferred). Progress towards or a desire to pursue CFA, MBA or
- 6+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and influence
skills; superior analytical skills and business judgment.
- Capable of juggling multiple deliverables with competing
deadlines and effectively managing priorities and expectations of
- Exhibit a strong track record of collaborating with others and
working effectively in a team environment to meet client and
business partners needs and impact business results.
- Strong Excel skills are a requirement. Experience using
third-party analytic tools, including FactSet, eVestment Analytics,
and Bloomberg preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with the asset classes, investment
products, and investment vehicles distributed across institutional
channels (both U.S. & non-U.S.).
- The ability to apply both a quantitative and qualitative
mindset to the content and analyses you develop in support of
institutional distribution efforts.
- Able to analyze and understand portfolio level attribution data
for the purpose of creating concise and insightful portfolio
commentaries for institutional clients on a recurring and ad-hoc
- Accuracy, timeliness, attention to detail, and commitment to
delivering top quality work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate
and collaborate effectively with business partners at all levels of
the organization, including investment staff (portfolio managers
and institutional portfolio managers).
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a continuously changing

- Develop and aggregate content and analysis used in
institutional product marketing collateral, recurring client
reporting, and in response to ad hoc client/prospect/consultant
- Provide ad hoc and recurring data reporting (i.e., product
data, performance, performance attribution, portfolio
characteristics, etc.) for RFPs and due diligence
- Gain expertise on cross-asset class institutional product
lineup for the purpose of providing daily support to the Core IAG
asset class leads as well as the investment and distribution
- Respond to recurring and ad hoc product questions from internal
business partners, including sales, consultant relations, and
