Job Description:
This role will have direct oversight for the operations of the
Medicine and Oncology practice.
The Executive Director of Operations for Medicine and Oncology is
responsible for the strategic planning, development, and
administrative and clinical operations of multiple ambulatory
practice clinic locations.
Accountable for the achievement of the strategic outcomes for areas
of responsibility and promoting a culture of accountability within
the ambulatory structure.
Facilitates initiatives related to improving access, integration of
patient access data to develop strategic opportunities, and
managing the patient experience during the ambulatory
encounter.
Works with providers and practice leaders to support the
achievement of medical group and overall system goals.
In conjunction with Practice Administrators, provides supervision
for practice staff and providers.
Partners with Assistant Chief Nursing Officer of CNE hospitals in
practices where nursing leadership oversees or has a matrixed
relationship for clinical operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
Minimum 7 - 10 Years in health care administration
Must have excellent presentation, communication, organization, and
project management skills. Possesses the ability to relate and
communicate to all levels of the organization. Is committed to a
team-oriented work environment and has the ability to develop and
implement sound financial business practices. Responds timely to
practice needs, escalates issues as appropriate, and participates
in the development of action plans aimed to improve experience.
Collaborates, develops and implements action plans to improve the
patient and practice experience. Applies knowledge of physician
practice management, budget management, reimbursement processes,
strategic planning and implementation to ensure the department
practice standards and needs are met.
Ensures functional business processes by utilizing established
process improvement methods such as lean, six sigma and PDSA.
Maintains subject matter expertise related to regulatory and
accreditation readiness. Initiates, monitors, and champions change
where opportunities for improvement or enhancement have been
identified.
Ability to manage multiple complex and concurrent projects and
solve complex problems associated with a large-scale practices.
Ability to collaborate with other departments and operating units
to ensure smooth processes.
Effectively manages human resources for practices. Manages and
responds to all safety and quality issues for practice. Ensures
practice and staff comply with HIPAA and other regulatory and
accreditation regulations. Maintains confidentiality of all
patient, employee and other sensitive information.
