How will you make a difference to PMI?
The Events Marketing Manager will be responsible for positioning PMI events as the "must attend" gatherings for project professionals globally, driving attendance and fostering repeat participation.
The Event Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the PMI Events team to bring our signature events, including PMI Global Summit and the PMI Global Summit Series, to life.
This role requires extensive experience in large-scale event strategy, planning and logistics, content development, events experience design and activation, and event marketing and promotion.
Additionally, this individual will lead the development and execution of a brand partnership, events sponsorship, and brand activation program, leveraging third-party events and partner brands to drive awareness and shape perception of the PMI brand with new audiences.


What you'll bring to the role:


  • Develop Marketing Strategy: Craft and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan to drive event attendance, ensuring alignment with PMI's brand and organizational objectives. * Event Strategy: Collaborate with the PMI Events team to define the overarching purpose and strategy for PMI signature events, Global Summit and Global Summit Series, this will include event themes, content topics, speaker selection, and agenda planning.
  • Audience Engagement: Work closely with the Events team to create engaging event experiences that exceed attendee expectations and align with PMI enterprise objectives and targets. Leverage attendee customer satisfaction, VoC and CX data to continually improve overall event experience.
  • Brand Partnerships: Lead the development and execution of a brand partnership program to identify, secure, and activate partnerships with third-party events and partner brands. Leverage these partnerships to enhance PMI's brand awareness and reach new audiences.
  • Sponsorship Opportunities: Identify and evaluate events sponsorship opportunities that align with PMI's goals and objectives. Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements to maximize ROI and brand exposure.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals to design and execute innovative event experiences and activations that showcase the PMI brand, its purpose, and offerings.
  • Marketing Campaign development: Oversee the development of marketing collateral, campaign assets, promotional materials, and content that effectively promote PMI events and partnerships to a global audience.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget for PMI events and brand partnerships, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Performance Analysis: Continuously analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts, using data-driven insights to make adjustments and improvements to the marketing strategy.
  • Supervises a team.Responsible for effectively hiring, coaching, performance management and terminating employees.
    Role Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
