Job Description:
Develops applications using distributed application development
and middleware technologies -- REST/SOAP Web Services and Java.
Deploys applications in Cloud (Amazon Web Services, S3, EC2, and
CloudFormation). Monitors and logs, using DataDog, Lambda, and
Python. Provides business solutions by developing complex or
multiple software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade
Java middle-tier applications. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience designing, developing, and supporting
enterprise-grade Java middle-tier applications. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) supporting the full Java application
development lifecycle -- analysis, design, development, test, and
deployment -- using Spring Boot (v2.x), Git/Stash, Artifactory,
JIRA, Jenkins, Sonar, Veracode, and uDeploy. DE creating Cloud-based applications, using data warehouse
concepts (Snowflake) and Amazon Web Services (AWS); installing
applications on the Cloud using Concourse pipeline; and debugging
Cloud applications using CloudFormation Templates. DE performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using JUnit and
Fitnesse; performing performance testing using JMeter; profiling
and troubleshooting issues using Datadog for Observability; and
creating a stable and highly availability solution, using Service
Level Objectives (SLO) and Service Level Indicators (SLI)
concepts. DE building enterprise financial services -- compliance,
trading, and research and middle-tier applications, using Java and
Oracle 19c; and executing PL/SQL stored procedures and configuring
