Job Description:
Measures performance against established objectives and KPIs
that deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results.
Designs, develops and modifies complex and major software systems,
using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and
measure outcome and consequences of design. Reduces time to market
and optimizes performance, using technical tools and automation
methodologies. Determines feasibility of design within time and
cost constraints by analyzing user needs and software requirements.
Identifies measures or indicators of system performance and
executes actions needed to improve or correct performance. Primary Responsibilities: Creates product roadmaps, tracks progress, prioritizes work and
leads the software delivery team to build product features and
capabilities. Engages with end users to analyze their needs and constraints
and translate them to epics and stories that are built by the
team. Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Maintains transparent communication environment and reduces
application requirement ambiguities. Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users
or external groups to resolve issues. Provides technical delivery oversight to ensure the timely
implementation of business priorities. Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the
business unit. Drives overall quality improvements according to software
engineering best practices and protocols. Determines system performance standards. Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other
team members for performance and career development. Consults on development and delivery of major technology
initiatives for the business unit. Consults on deployment of major project deliverables. Consults on the documentation of major technology
application. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or
company architectural components. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
building data capabilities to support portfolio management,
investment research, attribution, and portfolio risk functions. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience building data capabilities to
support portfolio management, investment research, attribution, and
portfolio risk functions. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) interpreting and applying corporate
actions on portfolios; evaluating vendor data from financial data
providers -- Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar; and designing
best of breed processes to support account management and portfolio
management capabilities, using Tableau, Shell Scripts, SQL, and
Power BI. DE writing SQL queries, Shell scripts, or stored procedures for
functional and regression testing, using Toad, SQL Navigator, SQL
Developer, and iCEDQ. DE building data lakes on Cloud by sourcing and analyzing large
datasets from heterogenous sources (Oracle, Files, Kafka, and Hive)
in XML, JSON, and text formats for structured and semi structured
data within the financial services industry, using Amazon Web
Services (AWS) services and Snowflake as the data store. DE performing product management for data products -- APIs, data
transformations and quality routines for operational/warehouse data
platforms -- to support Asset Management functions including,
account and portfolio management and research (roadmap creation,
stakeholder engagement, value-based prioritization, release
planning, tracking, and communication), using JIRA, Excel macros,
