Job Description:
Rapidly develops and delivers software applications, using Java,
Python, and Angular. Design, develops, and program applications,
using PyCharm, VS Code, Rapid SQL Developer, Git, and
IntelliJ/Eclipse. Creates innovative tools to support and enhance
investment processes. Uses business knowledge to translate the
vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by
developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting
studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Business Administration, or a closely related field
and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5)
years of experience developing financial investment applications,
using Microsoft Excel VBA, Python, Angular, and Java. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business
Administration, or a closely related field and three (3) years of
experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
developing financial investment applications, using Microsoft Excel
VBA, Python, Angular, and Java. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) creating models for utilizing
security level reference and analytic attributes for fixed income
securities -- interest rates, issuer spread sensitivities, and
option adjusted analytics to measure and use in portfolio
construction; and measuring portfolio level aggregation of analytic
attributes, using Python, Java, and SQL. DE building tools for portfolio construction that optimize the
holdings of a portfolio to align with the optimally defined
portfolio holdings, using Java and Python; and building and
improving portfolio optimization paradigms models and formulating
alternative objective criteria and constraints using Python
optimization functions. DE building complex financial investment applications that
support 200-300 portfolios and produce orders that generate trades
of $100 $500 million, using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, and
Oracle; and creating financial investment applications that
implement real-time order and trade workflows for delivery to
brokers and dealers, using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, and
Oracle. DE creating Continuously Integrated and Continuously Deployed
(CICD) pipelines, using Git, Maven, Jenkins, and uDeploy;
performing quality gates enforcement based on test code coverage
and quality, using Junit, Mockito, and SonarQube; and publishing
