Job Description:
Position Description: Develops, tests, provides production support, debugs,
implements, and documents for financial services, using Oracle
PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, Informatica ETL, Python, HTML,
Autosys, and Java tool technologies. Designs and develops UNIX
Shell scripts and PLSQL processes to transfer data between
Unix/database servers using Secure (SSH) File Transfer Protocol
(SFTP and SCP). Builds Continuous Integration and Continuous
Deployment (CI/CD), using Maven, Jenkins, u-Deploy, and Sonar
checks. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for
business needs into working solutions by developing
complex/multiple software applications while considering
alternative solutions. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application-level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
performing database development and design in a financial services
environment, using Oracle, Informatica, Unix, or Toad. Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of relevant experience performing database
development and design in a financial services environment, using
Oracle, Informatica, Unix, or Toad. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) working on a full-stack engineering
team -- gathering requirements, designing and developing
performance optimized solutions (using Oracle database), building
ETL and batch solutions (using SQL, PL/SQL, and Informatica Power
Center), performing data mapping of HTTP REST calls (using
Postman), building Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
(CI/CD) processes (using Jenkins, Concourse, u-Deploy, and GIT),
building Data API (using Spring Boot Serverless Architecture), and
performing performance tuning of SQL queries and database
deployment in a Cloud (Amazon Web Services) platform. DE performing systems analysis and support for financial
services applications compliance and research, using LINUX/UNIX,
PL/SQL with TOAD, SQL Developer, and SQL Navigator; and
implementing ETL jobs to load and transform data into database
tables and scheduling using Autosys or Control-M. DE performing project scope planning, systems analysis, and
implementation -- creating functional specification and efficient
technical documents throughout the production life cycle in
accordance with business standards; implementing unit tests, using
utPLSQL and SonarQube according to Acceptance Test Driven
Development (ATDD) practices; automating processes using Jenkins;
and developing Data Quality framework for loaders with reporting
mechanisms, using Tableau and Oracle OBIEE. DE performing data analysis -- querying large data sets to
detect patterns, analyze trends, and provide insights and
