Job Description:

Deploys products to Cloud platforms -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) -- using containerization technologies (ETAS and Docker). Streamlines application deployment using automation tools -- Concourse, Jenkins, and Artifactory. Develops applications using client-side languages, libraries, and frameworks -- Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, and RxJS. Aligns processes to standard methodologies -- Object-Oriented Design (OOD), coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing, developing, and deploying Web applications in a financial services environment.

Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience designing, developing, and deploying Web applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) building responsive MVC-based financial services Web applications operating with Tomcat application server, Java, SpringBoot based middle layer, and JavaScript client-side technologies (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Angular, and Typescript) that consume RESTful JSON and SOAP Web services.

DE performing Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and coding standards, and developing Java/J2EE Web applications and Web services within a Linux and Windows environment, using design patterns, Swagger, Spring Boot, and OAuth, Apache Maven, Enterprise Integration patterns, and Apache Camel.

DE configuring Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines, using Jenkins, Artifactory, IBM UDeploy, and Linux Scripting.

DE designing and developing highly scalable and responsive MVC-based financial services Web applications using standards-compliant client-side technologies (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Angular, and Typescript) to achieve cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
