Position Description:

Develops Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Representational State Transfer (REST) Web Services using JAX-WS, CXF and Spring-WS. Implements Java/J2EE and Object-Oriented (00) programming and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and best practices. Develops and delivers complex, high volume, low latency components and applications. Implements Java Message Service (JMS) application development and concepts of reliable messaging and asynchronous processing. Implements Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices using Maven, Jenkin, Udeploy, Rule engines, IBM ODM. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing full stack development in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience performing full stack development in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing full stack development in a financial services environment, using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, BPM, ESB, WMQ, AWS, and Spring MVC; and developing Web based applications, using Angular, Java, Spring MVC, Spring Core, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

DE designing, developing, testing, and releasing Web applications within the financial technology industry, using services and server technologies (Java, IIS, and Linux) and client technologies (Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery); and developing, testing, and deploying high performance Web applications, using Angular (for development) and Jasmine, or Karma framework, Sonar, and Veracode (for code quality).

DE developing micro services API definitions, using Swagger Editor, sequence flows, Microsoft Visio, and Data log; performing application monitoring using Splunk; and maintaining APIs on WSO2 and APIGEE API management platforms.

DE converting large scale applications to loosely coupled Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), using IBM BPM, WESB, Integration Designer, MQ, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda; and identifying service reusability across business units, using IBM BPM, WESB, Integration Designer, MQ, and AWS Lambda.
