Job Description:

Registered Nurse provides direct patient care and supervises nursing staff in a hospital setting, ensuring quality and cost-effective patient care.
Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provides direct patient care and evaluates effectiveness of care.
  
• Leads and supervises nursing staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, and family to plan discharge and provide teaching.
  
• Participates in quality improvement and research activities.
  
• Utilizes resources to provide quality patient care and maintains clinical competencies.
  
• Serves as a role model and preceptor to new nurses and less experienced staff.
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Licensure as Registered Nurse in Rhode Island or licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact.
    
  • Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
    
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island.
    
    Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • Visual and aural ability to monitor patient status.
      
    • Physical ability to assist in lifting and positioning patients.
      
    • Exposed to patient care environment.
      
    • Physical ability for extensive walking and standing; lifting positioning and pushing patients on stretchers.
