Job Description:
The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in healthcare

Unit Secretary/Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). This dual-role
position provides an extraordinary opportunity to work in a dynamic
healthcare setting, leveraging both administrative skills and
direct patient care expertise. Located in the picturesque city of
Burlington, VT, our facility is dedicated to enhancing patient
recovery by providing exceptional medical services. This role is
crucial in facilitating the operations of a healthcare unit and
supporting nursing staff, creating a synergistic environment for
patient care. Perform administrative duties including managing
patient records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining
communication flow within the unit. Assist nursing and medical
staff by providing direct patient care, including taking vital
signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting with daily
activities. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and
standards in both administrative and clinical operations. Act as a
liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to
facilitate effective communication and enhance patient
satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the patient
care area and perform inventory checks on medical supplies and
equipment. Proficiency in medical software and patient management
systems. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently
under pressure. Compassionate patient care and attention to detail.
Medical Insurance Certified Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in the
state of Vermont, or eligible to obtain certification within six
months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is
required prior to start date.
