District Sales Manager - Industrial Automation

Overview Are you a sales leader looking for a role in which your previous industrial automation experience, sales acumen, and track record of success will be leveraged and appreciated? Are you ready to grow customer relationships, improve market share, as well as coach sales professionals, with an industry leader? If so, then you're ready to be a District Sales Manager with Kaman Automation.In this role, you will be responsible for direct sales and customer service support to customers in the Northeast district. In addition, you will lead the growth of profitable market share through managing expenses, district sales plan, and personnel. You will actively identify sales opportunities to increase market share and drives accountability for results.   • Manages Account Managers, Applications Specialists and the Customer Service staff within a district.
  • Builds a close business relationship with the customers and sales organization through a high level of customer satisfaction, on-time and on-budget delivery of products and services.
  • Visits locations and makes sales calls with Account Managers and sales staff.
  • Understands customer requirements, their budget, and how to close business deals
  • Grows the business while providing first in class service and support to our customers.
  • Works closely with other managers to ensure the success of the entire Kaman Automation team.
  • Meets the monthly and annual sales and margin objectives, financial forecasting & reporting requirements, and asset management goals.--
  • Ensures we are providing our customers with the correct automation solutions.
  • Collects and analyzes sales information and provides reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Forecasts future sales and profit performance for the district.
  • Develops district sales plan.
  • Plans district implementations of company sales programs, such as special product promotions, strategic account initiatives, documented savings program and territory management plans.
  • Analyzes market opportunities and develops strategies to improve market share.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves any breakdowns in processes between Sales, Customer Service and Operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Experience:
    • BS degree in business management, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial automation or distribution.Skills and Abilities:
      • Experience in the Industrial Automation marketplace a must
      • Experience generating and maintaining relationships with long-standing customers
      • Strong interest in growing customer base through building value-added relationships
      • Understands customer requirements, their budget, and how to close business deals
      • Strong attention to detail to ensure we are providing our customers with the correct automation solutions
      • Excellent customer relations skills to work proactively with our customers and also with other team members
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Self-motivated and can motivate others to perform at a high level
      • Ability to learn and understand technical products
      • Valid driver---s license required
