This position is on site and will be primarily based out of the FM
Global Research Campus in West Glocester , RI as well as the
Norwood Research Facility, in Norwood, MA, based on business needs
FM Global Research Campus Conditions:
- Candidate will be required to wear a hard hat, safety glasses,
and safety shoes when in designated campus areas
- Core working hours at the Research Campus are 7:00AM to 3:30PM
The Research Campus System Administrator will assist Campus staff
with the implementation, onboarding, and production supp ort of
specialty business systems, core infrastructure, and data
collection systems that enable research productivity. In addition
to systems management and upkeep, the role has a solid focus on
technical integration and project management activities.
Part nering closely with core departments such as Information
Services, Information Security, and Vendor Management they will
ensure IT infrastructure and services meet company standards,
reduce risk, and deliver business value. A main focus of the role
is to e stablish proactive health, compliance monitoring, and
governance process for critical services of the campus,
tour-related systems, theater, and Research / Approvals labs.
They will be responsible for working with third party vendors on
design, upgrades, and support items holding them accountable to
established SLA's. The role has a component of hands-on (hardware &
software) break fix and operational support across a vast technical
area such as server platforms, networking, data collection,
endpoint, secu rity tools, scientific computing software and cloud

landscape and recommends appropriate technologies, tools, and
techniques to be used in alignment with FM Global enterprise IS
standards and processes.
Leads and coordinates day-to-day and project activities fro m an IT
perspective. Ensures efforts are completed within SLA and manages a
backlog of items.
This role requires some hands-on support and technical assistance
to both business users and infrastructure teams as needed. Key
areas are endpoint, server platf orms, networking, industrial
control systems, security, specialty labs, scientific computing
software, and application platforms. Provides audio/visual
consultation and support for the campus.
Keeps a strong documentation library that includes design, heal th
measurements, support process and hardware / software
Strong customer focus and collaboration skills with a proactive
mentality that engages with local office / campus personnel and
other IS support staff.
Works with information services te ams and business units on
opportunities that have been identified and prioritized as service
The incumbent uses local knowledge to help identify and enhance
opportunities to improve business processes in the use of

suggests new approaches to improve the service / remove risk.
Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism while representing FM
Global and Information Services to internal collaborators, custome
rs, clients, and outside vendors.
- 7+ years of solid experience in related IT infrastructure
- 3 to 5 years of enterprise system management, monitoring, and
- Demonstrates robust analytical and pro blem-solving skills
across a broad range of technologies
- Robust hardware and software troubleshooting skills and
significant user support experience
- Experience system management skills using automated deployment
- Experience leading a team either as di rect staff or project
- Exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making,
organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in evaluating technologies and running effective
