Job Description: The Project Coordinator is a member of the Center for Gerontology and Healthcare Research and reports to Jill Harrison. The Project Coordinator is responsible for project coordination of multiple large-scale national research initiatives that are focused on the development of non-pharmaceutical pragmatic clinical trials to improve the lives of people living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias (AD/ADRD) and their caregivers. A total of 50% effort will be dedicated to project coordination duties for the NIA IMPACT Collaboratory. Additionally, 50% effort will be dedicated to an NIA Program Project Grant (P01). Responsibilities for the position include coordination of data collection and acquisition; data analysis, visualization, and reporting; and administrative coordination tasks for the two large research projects. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, Project Directors, Principal Investigators, working group cores/teams, and research staff to conduct day-to-day administrative activities, as well as prepare dashboards, data visualizations, and reports for internal meetings and to meet the requirements of our external sponsor, the National Institutes of Aging at the National Institutes of Health (NIA/NIH). The Project Coordinator will also interact with study collaborators, contractors, and health care system providers; track project timelines and milestones; and assist in the preparation of IRB applications, data use agreements, professional manuscripts, conference presentations, study information and results, and new research proposals. Job Qualifications Indicate the minimum required education and years of experience. Include any required licenses or certificates. Education and Experience * Master's degree and two to three years of project management and/or public health research experience, or PhD and one year of experience * Experience with merging data sets, performing data analysis, and creating compelling data visualizations * Preferred: Experience in the field of Gerontology Job Competencies Indicate the essential job competencies. Competencies are required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the job successfully. * Mastery of Data Visualization software (such as Tableau, Qlikview, or other similar platforms) and ability to learn new software with ease * Experience transforming, merging, and cleaning large and/or complex data sets from across multiple sources * Ability to think critically and use large amounts of information to make inferences about the 'bigger picture' * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with large groups of diverse people * Works well both independently and as part of a team * Ability to hold self and others accountable for completing tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard * Extremely organized with precise attention to detail * Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment * Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines * Experience working with IRB applications * Mastery of Windows, MS Office software (especially Excel, Powerpoint, and Word), common internet browsers * Preferred: Knowledge of research design, measurement issues, and sampling Preferred: Mastery of Smartsheets All offers of employment are contingent upon a criminal background check and education verification that are satisfactory to Brown University.
