As a Bilingual, Spanish/English, or Portuguese/English Field Sales Representative, you are the principal point of contact between Prime Source Foods and its customers. You ensure current customers have the right products and services, identify new markets and customer leads, and develop prospective customers. In many ways, you are the face of the company. You may do everything from answering phones to monitoring the competition while maintaining good customer relations and pursuing new sales opportunities.MUST RESIDE IN RHODE ISLAND OR THE SURROUNDING AREA.

Requirements:

  • Regularly call on existing customers to help process orders and generate new sales including an average of 2 days per week on the road prospecting new business.
  • Identify customer needs and expedite the resolution of problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction; monitor sales volumes and recommend products and solutions.

  • Multidimensional skills include customer service, damage control, money collections, handling accounts payable for clients, managing a low percentage of credits and returns, etc.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with team members and other departments such as purchasing, warehouse, and transportation.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and industry trendsRequired Qualifications:
    • Bilingual, Spanish/English, or Portuguese/English is required.
    • High school diploma or GED, BS/BA preferred.
    • Two years of food industry-related experience.
    • Technologically competent; familiar with office software, remote internet connectivity, and inventory management systems
    • Outside sales experience and ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.

    • Extensive local travel - valid driver's license and proof of insurance required; access to dependable means of transportation.
    • While we are currently taking every precaution against the spread of COVID-19, this position will require face time with customers.
