first opened our doors in 1866.Job SummaryThis position is located
in the Performance and Quality Improvement Department and is
responsible for working with the PQI team in developing and
facilitating the training and professional development program for
the agency. The Training Specialist works closely with Program
Supervisors, Directors, and PQI in meeting Child & Family program,
contract, and accreditation requirements.This person will work
closely with the PQI team in developing a professional development
plan for each program and department in the agency. This includes
working closely with all agency teams and Supervisors/Directors.
Activities include but are not limited to organizing and scheduling
trainings, documentation of attendance and participation, awarding
CEUs, supporting programs in developing a calendar of program
specific trainings, and supporting the intra-agency case management
process for Child Welfare programs. Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with MyEvolv administrator to develop and improve ongoing
training and support
- Assist with Record audits and MyEvolv audits
- Support Data Administrator in agency research and client
satisfaction process
- Work with programs to develop quarterly action plans to improve
compliance and assist in implementation when applicable
- Work with analyst to define compliance metrics on both a yearly
and quarterly basis
- Work with PQI team to create a "library" of training material
or even a Child and Family "university"
- Work with PQI team to develop tracking system for training
attendance and completion
- Updating said Library on a regular basis
- Work with PQI team to assist programs with annual required
training such as HIPAA, Workplace Safety, Ethics, Diversity, Equity
and Inclusion, as well as other areas.
- Work with PQI team to provide regular communication and reports
to DCYF, OHA, DHS, etc.Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors Degree in a Human Services related field
- Candidates should have experience working with multiple systems
and programs in order to improve program performance and
quality
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition,
and grammar, and the ability to apply this to writing letters,
treatment plans, etc
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities,
including documentation, meeting with clients for the required
hours each week, attending staff meetings and supervision, and
