Overview:The Gas Corrosion Supervisor is responsible for the safety, reliability, security and integrity of the gas distribution system through the daily supervision and organization of operations personnel in order to complete job tasks while complying with Company, departmental and Regulatory policies, procedures and statutory requirements. Supervise up to 15 internal and contracted personnel to assure the timely and cost-effective completion of work within the area of responsibility. Provide emergency response and supervision of personnel engaged in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation.Responsibilities:

• Become proficient and teach direct reports and others on new corrosion electronic database system as well as other software systems such as Gas GIS, PCS, Maximo, and GBE
• Ensure annual gas facility corrosion testing is completed within regulatory compliance dates
• Ensure atmospheric program testing is completed within regulatory compliance dates
• Oversee the operational workload of team to ensure allocated resources are fully utilized to deliver against agreed upon work plan and execute work activities within planned unit and budget cost
• Ensure supervised teams comply with safety standards, policies, and processes to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff
• Review, ensure accuracy and execute the approval of area purchase orders, invoices, and payroll activities
• Build good working relationships with internal & external customers and manage the day-to-day relationship to understand their requirements and deliver appropriate solutions
• Monitor performance of allocated staff including issues relating to sickness, discipline, and poor standards of work to ensure that work is performed efficiently and effectively
• Promote and implement best practices to ensure all work tasks achieve high productivity and low costs
• Review work orders, created in the field, to ensure remediation plan will correct found field issues
• Provide education and training to internal/external stakeholders on corrosion related topics when neededQualifications:Candidate QualificationsCandidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identitiy and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.
  Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) or a minimum of 6 years of corrosion related experience
  • 3+ years of corrosion related experience
  • Proven supervisory experience - Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team
  • Atmospheric Corrosion Experience preferred
  • NACE certification preferred
  • Proficient in relevant software e.g., Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license required
