Randstad is looking for Machine Operators for the 2nd shift in the Greater Smithfield Area. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in machine operation and have sound mechanical aptitude. There is opportunity for personal growth and career advancement. This is a Permanent Hire Position! Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PM Monday through Friday; Available OT Rate: $34,000/year

Responsibilities

- Operation of power-assisted machinery to assemble components.

- Utilizes a variety of instruments such as calipers, air hoses, and picks.

- Visually inspects parts/assemblies for defects.

- Properly marks all scrap boxes.

- Responsible for changing out materials when empty or the job order changes.

- Attending machines based on production schedules and manufacturing requirements.

- Operating and monitoring machines ensuring the product is manufactured in accordance with specifications, schedules and deadlines.

- Perform quality checks on: in-process and completed product.

- Ensures rejected and accepted product is separated.

- Cleaning of machines as necessary.

- Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear ensuring a safe environment.

The essential functions of this role include:

+ working in a smoke free environment

+ wearing steel toe shoes

+ standing for 7 hours at one time
