Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, NightsJoin our experienced ICU group as we invite a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital based team just an hour outside of Boston! Employed by a physician owned service, you will work closely with hospital staff, hospitalists, and the ER in this night shift position. Due to the autonomous nature of this role, exposure to and interest in learning intubations and central lines is a must.Compensation:Base salary $125,000 - $145,000 (Cost of Living Equivalent to $240,000 in Boston)Up to $15,000 productivity bonus$75/hr for extra shifts (if interested, not required)Schedule:12 hour shiftsMidnights: 7pm - 7 amShifts group 3-4 consecutivelyLocation:ICU of 200 Bed hospital5-6 patient average censusSuburban New HampshireLess than an hour from BostonDuties:History, diagnostic tests, comprehensive physical examinations, and assessmentsContinuous patient management if needed for patients with complex health care needsWrites orders, including diagnostic tests and medication orders to accomplish acute and long term plan of careRoutine diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms treatments and administers pharmacological therapies, IV fluids, and blood productsManages oxygen and ventilator therapy based on interpretation of clinical, x-ray, and blood gas data in conjunction with the pulmonologists and anesthesiologistAttends cardiopulmonary arrest situations, and responds to the needs of compromised patients providing resuscitations as neededRequirements:Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantNew graduates must have a minimum of 2 years of related ICU experienceAcute Care NP is preferred, FNPs with requisite experience are also consideredPrevious experience with intubation and central lines is preferred
