Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:Under the general direction of the Manager or designee, the System Administration Engineer II is a technical specialist role in the System Administration area supporting network operating systems in a multiple platform environment.

Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide third level support to end usersInstall and maintain data processing hardware and softwareInvolved in the implementation and support of subsystems i.e. backups, e-mail, anti-virus etc.Acknowledge and resolve user service requestsBroad application of standard principles, concepts and techniques, plus working knowledge of related fieldsResolve a diverse range of complex problems, uses judgment within defined policiesContribute to the development of organizational goals and objectivesFrequent cross organization and outside customer contact.Represent the organization on projectsPerform other duties as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience. 4 years of related work experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel to off-site locations

This position is located at the QARC data center in Lincoln, RI.
