This position works closely and reports to the Accounting Manager and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will mainly focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Based out of the Lincoln, Rhode Island area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.Major responsibilities- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them- Help with internal and external audits as required- Execute additional tasks as needed- Operate full-cycle A/P- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
