The MassMutual Strategic Distributors (MMSD) Technology Team is seeking an exceptional and experienced Full Stack Developer and Tech Lead to join our growing team. Our team's goal is to build and mature the technologies that our internal and external business partners use to sell, service and support MassMutual products in our new 3rd party distribution channel.The ideal candidate will be skilled in all levels of cloud-based front end, web services, microservices and application development. Experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred. In this role you will be responsible for leading the design and development of web applications and services, primarily front-end focused. Candidate must be flexible, team player and possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.**Goals:**Provide technical leadership for a multi discipline team that will build, deploy and maintain new applications and systems. Effectively contribute to all aspects of a technical implementation and the systems development life cycle, within a dynamic and evolving agile/DevOps team. Support new and ongoing projects, systems and teams across the MassMutual Strategic Distributors domain. Focus will be on building a new web application that will give 3rd party producers and firms access to view, self-service and manage applications as they progress through the new business and underwriting process.**Key responsibilities and accountabilities:**+ Engineer responsive web applications in NodeJS & ReactJS to be deployed in EKS on AWS.+ Provide developers on the team with mentorship, code review and collaboration+ Build web services with NodeJSand Java Spring.+ Build and deploy modular, scalable API's to support mobile, browser, and batch processes.+ Works closely with both business and technical stakeholders+ Operates independently on multiple project tasks+ Participates in all phases of project planning, execution and testing+ Produces application artifacts per SDLC, Agile and DevOps audit requirements+ Implements high-quality, cost-effective and sustainable solutions. Meet today's needs with the potential to scale or adapt to the needs of the future/new emerging technologies.+ Write production-ready code with fluency in modern front-end JavaScript frameworks.+ Participates in design & code reviews and manages deployments to Kubernetes (on AWS EKS) via CI/CD+ Provide technical direction and creative solutions.
