Description: Job Title: Mail Inserter Operator (Pitney Bowes) - 2nd shiftSUMMARYSeeking Pitney Bowes high capacity production Mail Inserter Machine Operator. Experience preferred, but willing to train mechanically inclined individuals with mechanical aptitude and a production or manufacturing background. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Operate Pitney Bowes inserting production machinery according to instructions and in a safe manner.Maintain a clean and neat work area.For Each Commercial Work-Order:Gather mail trays and/or sleeves and prior to starting job.Change postage meter cartridge when necessary.Check counts a least twice per tray.Fan for defectsStop machine if there are any problems.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic Math skills required.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Requirements: PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
