Position Overview: The Early Childhood Clinician will be part of the Support Team (Mental Health and Disabilities) in this important role that is responsible for responding to and managing the mental health needs of clients in our early childhood programs.Provides comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of children participating in thePreschool/Head Start/Early Head Start program.Through classroom observation, assess preschool children who have been referred for mental health support.Supports classroom teaching staff with implementing strategies to more effectively serve the children referred for mental health services.Provides therapeutic services to children participating in our early childhood programs including the Kids Connect program. Complete intake and enrollment for children participating in our early childhood programs including theKids Connect program.Coordinates and collaborate with providers in other service systems including DCYF, legal, judicial, medical, educational, human services, etc.Provides a minimum of one hour per week of clinical supervision to assigned teaching team members in Kids Connect classrooms.Maintains accurate client records and complete all necessary documentation within established program time frames; this includes timely insurance authorizations as necessary, maintenance of current information regarding insurance eligibility, KidsConnect intake documentation and Therapeutic Integration Plans.Maintains assigned productivity standards.Ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests.Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited school. Must be license eligible or pursuing licensure. Must have a strong working knowledge of preschool age-group and preschool classroom supports. Proven time management skills and relationship building skills. Proven ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests is required. Must have driver's license, automobile, and appropriate insurance levels. Hybrid Eligible: Given the nature of this role, the Early Childhood Clinician will need to be able to work an onsite and remote work schedule. All offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of criminal background checks, educational verification, medical, and proof of immunizations.
