This position involves preparation and review of the Company s tax filing requirements related to U.S. international, federal, and state tax return preparation and review (with an emphasis on U.S. international), assistance with financial statement reporting for income taxes (ASC 740) as needed, IRS audit support as needed, development of staff, as well as tax research and special project work.Responsibilities:Primary responsibility for preparation and review of US international compliance, including forms 5471s, 8865s, 8858s, 1118, 1042, etc. in compliance with statutory requirements.Perform analysis of Subpart F, foreign subsidiary earnings and profits, foreign exchange, and repatriation.Assist in preparation and review of Form 1120 and consolidated schedulesPreparation and review of state tax returns including unitary filingsResearch, analyze and interpret current and proposed tax legislation.Identify process improvements, implement changes, and ensure best practices.Work with staff to develop tax technical skills in U.S. International tax.Other projects/tasks/work as assigned.Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information about employeesQualifications:Advanced working knowledge of the federal income tax processes including U.S. corporate international tax forms, schedules, and disclosure requirementsCompetency in tax technical research and analysisKnowledge / experience international portions of IRC and impacts on ASC 740Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesStrong computer skills, OneSource Income Tax a plusStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility to lead a project and work independentlyAbility to work in a Team environmentMust be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and new ideas, perspectives, strategies and positions.Education / Experience:BS AccountingMST, CPA desirableMinimum of 5 years large corporation tax experience or comparable experience in public accounting with an emphasis on US international tax.EEO StatementTextron is committed to providing Equal Opportunity in Employment, to all applicants and employees regardless of, race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, military status, veteran status, handicap, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.Pay Transparency Policy StatementThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
