What Youll Be Doing:
Who Youll Be Working With:
Our Technical team at New Century Health (wholly owned subsidiary
of Evolent Health) is looking for a QA Analyst to part of EDWBI
platform team to help build data driven analytics apps leveraging
existing EDWBI platform. Successful candidates will be self-driven,
curious, and ready to challenge their peers. Most work will be
performed using MS SQL server-based tools, so knowledge of MS SQL
2016 is desired. Ability to define heuristic testing techniques for
Data based applications and interconnected sub-systems to reduce
risk and increase the confidence of clients and stake holders.
What Youll Be Doing:
You will be part of core EDWBI development team testing every code
that is required to be released to production. Your QA sign-off
will be required as part of release management.
You will be championing Change Management processes by applying QA
rigor for each development work ensuring high quality delivery.
You will be preparing test plans and test cases for each
development work to ensure quality and timely deliverable of the
project.
Your role would require tactical shrewdness to identify and
introduce smart techniques to work closely with developers and find
issues early in the development process. Relentlessly improve
testing activities and automate as and when the opportunity and
return on automation is beneficial.
Use the mantra all code is guilty until proven innocent to motivate
Test Driven Development (TDD), lean thinking and good programming
practices. Use different problem-solving techniques to conduct root
cause analysis of systemic issues and identify, prioritize and
mitigate system bottlenecks, with the end goal of overall system
optimization.
Understand the importance of solving the business problem to
accelerate the product delivery with approaches like test
automation, continuous integration, delivery and deployment.
Aptitude and attitude of thinking Quality is not a separate phase,
its a culture. Be ready and willing to educate team members on
quality standards and help them to apply quality gates right from
requirements to delivery of the intended solution.
The Experience Youll Need (Required):
Expert level T-SQL experience in writing/maintaining stored
procedures and complex queries.
Experienced as a QA analyst in data warehouse development projects
with knowledge of DW schema and methodologies.
Expertise in Test Driven Development methodology and Agile
development.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring processes are followed and
root cause remediation is planned and executed for each issue, and
that actions are fully documented.
Critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and
strategically.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to
modify communication style to match the appropriate level of the
audience targeted, with strong understanding of the impact of a
message on the organization or customer.
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Healthcare industry experience with exposure to
healthcare/authorization and claims and related data
(desirable)
Experience with QA processes alignment with SOX compliance would be
huge plus.
Prior experience as SQL/ETL developer will be a plus.
Knowledge of performance tuning databases and SQL statements
optimization would be a plus.
Experience with QA testing of Business Intelligence Reporting

Technical Requirements:
Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to
COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following
technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10
Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router.
These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any
scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is
$90,000, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set
required for the position and commensurate with experience and may
vary above and below the stated amounts.
