Primary FunctionThe Revenue Cycle Systems Data Analyst is responsible for supporting system needs of the Revenue Cycle Applications. The position will assist with modifications to system information for scheduling, help with the Revenue Cycle SharePoint sites, gather data needed for analyzing and creating reports for departments under the Revenue Cycle. Provide backup for the Revenue Cycle Applications and Informatics Specialists. Creating and maintaining documents for system applications and for instructions on report assembly on SharePoint. Collaborate with Application and Informatics Specialists on special projects or customer requests as needed. Communicate to management on report findings and issues in a timely and accurate manner.SpecificationsAssociate Degree or equivalent one to two years job-related experience required.Experience in spreadsheet applications, report writing language, solid analytical, data aggregation, exceptional communication and customer service skills are required.Application of Knowledge and SkillAnalyze data with basic statistical methods, interpret results and provide summaries.Design and maintain databases for the purpose of data analysis.Extract, manipulate, format and present data obtained from various systems in a manner that meets Revenue Cycle department management specifications and timelines.Validate changes to data files, databases and reports and keep versions current.Identify and resolve data discrepancies by working with staff and source data.Create data flow, process diagrams and gap analysis as needed for management.Provide programming support for the Revenue Cycle Systems Applications and Informatics Specialists.Contribute and maintain as needed SharePoint sites for departments.Analyzes data for trends, collects all relevant information and pro-actively soliciting input from staff and designs/prepares appropriate reports and recommendations.Maintains a working knowledge of Patient Access systems and processes.Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.Performs other related duties as assigned.
